lost, and looking for directions?

nothing is as bad as it seems. where do you want to go?

what do you do when you get lost?

that is when; and where, the journey begins.

you start thinking, then you plan, you muster all the energy to get going, and finally, you GO.

sounds very simple, right?

if it were that simple, why should i start writing after i am over the hill? as much as nothing is not as bad as it seems, nothing is as simple as it seems either.

we’ve all got lost many times. but here we’re, now. we’ve all come far. how… ?!… no GPS, no satellite phones, not even sign-posts, but we’re all here.

i love stories. one of my favourites is the story of Alice – Lewis Carroll’s character from “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (also famous as Alice in Wonderland).

i love Alice but I love the Cheshire Cat even more. This cat became famous for its ability to appear and disappear at will, and for its enormous grin.  ever heard that Victorian joke: “Grin like a Cheshire Cat”? sometimes the entire Cat disappears, leaving only the grin behind.  the appearance of the grin without the rest of the cat is a joke about eating part of the “face” of cheese and leaving the rest.

there is this famous story that comes from the town of Cheshire where they made cheese in the shape of cat faces, to amuse buyers.

the Cat tells Alice that everyone in Wonderland is crazy – even Alice. Cheshire Cat is brutally honest – shoot-from-the hip honest. Cheshire Cat, to me, is vintage Garfield from 1865.
